Farewell, for now…
Dear readers,
This blog entry is probably the saddest and harder to write. My grandmother is leaving this world and I must fly back home to make sure she goes in peace.
From one day to another, my life completely flipped over. As of today, I’m unemployed and without much direction, just a plane ticket to fly to Argentina tomorrow; which was purchased just three days ago.
It is hard at this point to think of anything but being next to my grandma, the only one person that knows me inside out, understands me and accepts me just as I am.
This means Beads for Beds dream will go to sleep until I can get back on my feet. Right now, is too hard to even try.
I write this from my heart, as it comes out, no editing, no judging, no re-reading. It’s honest and heart-felt.
This being said, I thank you all very much for your support. The website will stay up, the “donate” button will keep functioning, the twitter account may remain active occasionally. I’ll do my best to keep you updated.
It’s been a wonderful journey and even though I don’t know when I’ll return to where I’m leaving this dream at, I know I will; once I’m back from Buenos Aires and standing on my two feet.
There’s exactly $3010,20 in Beads for Beds account (IC Savings account #16822) Upon my return, I will prepare an annual report of our income and expenses so you are all aware on how this organization is running. We are only $47,000 away from our goal. I will do everything in my power to reach the $50,000 we need to build the orphanage. I know I will…
If you want to come check out our jewellery, you get one last chance on April 15th at The Joint Effort. Miranda will set up a Beads for Beds stand for one last time, until further notice. The event is put together by our good friend Tommy Bewick and I highly suggest you check it out. It’s gonna be a great evening!
I’m sending each and every one of you much, much Love. And again, thank you for your support. I couldn’t have gotten this far without you!
A bear hug to all of you,
Agata Ivanna Pogorelsky
